24-carat gold in Pakistan cost RS. 214,800 per tola on Monday, down RS. 1,200 from the previous trading day's price of RS. 26,000. Likewise, the value of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by RS. 1,029, from RS. 185,185 to RS. 184,156. The All Sindh Sarafa  Jewellers Association reports that the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold decreased as well, from RS. 169,753 to RS. 168,810.

Thus, the price of silver remained unchanged; ten grams is RS. 2,229.08 and a tola is RS. 2,600. Gold dropped in value globally by $11, from $2,059 to $2,048.

The combined consumption groups in the general economic environment saw a 0.28 percent fall, according to the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ending February 1. Pakistan's SPI, which gauges inflation, dropped to 317.65 points from 318.55 points the week before. However, compared to the same week last year, the SPI saw a 39.45 percent increase. 17 urban centers are covered by the data, which includes 51 required goods. The lowest-consumption group's SPI dropped by 0.85% to 310.42 points.

These differences reflect the erratic behavior of the precious metals market and its impact on broader economic indicators.
