The move is an important part of the government's attempts to guarantee the orderly and effective handling of pilgrims traveling the sacred towns of both Makkah and Madinah, especially since the Hajj season soon approaching.
The ministry also clarified when the three-month Umrah visa will expire. The validity of the visa will now begin on the date of issuance rather than the date of arrival into the country, as per the prior regulation.
This explanation was provided in response to multiple questions that were sent via the social media site X (previously known as Twitter). To decide on the new expiration date, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah collaborated.
Dhul Qadah 15 was selected as the new expiration date in order to aid with order and management of the pilgrimage influx. This change is meant to facilitate the annual pilgrimage's planning and expedite the movement of pilgrims into and out of the nation.
By making this decision, the Ministry hopes to improve the experience of each and every pilgrim and contribute to the continuation of an easy and secure journey for all.
