Gas will only be provided to customers during certain hours throughout Ramadan: from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm for Iftaar and from 3:00 am to 9:00 am for Sahar, according to a statement released by the SSGC. For a total of thirteen hours, gas would be available to consumers in Sindh and Balochistan for their basic needs.
In a related move, power distribution firms have been told by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah not to load-shed during Iftar and Sahar. This order was given at a discussion about Ramadan pricing control measures that was presided over by the chief minister.
Murad Ali Shah stressed during the meeting—which was attended by representatives from the IG Police, the chief secretary, and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab—the significance of having a continuous power supply throughout the province throughout Ramadan. During the holy month, he gave K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO particular instructions to guarantee a steady supply of electricity.
